This is a very interesting question. There are many people in my life who I am proud of, but today I want to talk about my younger sister and how she improved her English.
My sister was in primary school, and she was not very good at English. She often got low scores in her English class. Last year, she decided to work hard to improve her English. Second, she watched English TV shows and tried to understand them without Chinese subtitles.

Last month, our family went to Sydney for vacation, and she could speak English during the entire trip. So this is the reason why I am very proud of her.
I do not think it is good to study just for grades. If children only care about grades, they may lose their motivation when their grades go down. The whole point of learning is not only to get good grades. It is also to improve yourself, become more confident, and learn how to overcome difficulties.
I think rewards can help children sometimes. For example, if a child gets a good grade and receives a small gift, the child may feel happy and work harder. However, rewards are external motivation, and they do not last very long. Internal motivation is more important because it comes from a sense of achievement and growth. It can make children feel confident and independent.
