课堂推进:老师说明本节课不急着进入 discuss both views 讨论类,而是先继续练习观点类题型,特别是 to what extent do you agree or disagree。

老师示范 / 修改方向:只有 to what extent do you agree or disagree 是现阶段已经有固定模板、可以开始写完整文章的题型。

复习抓手:先把观点类写熟,再过渡到讨论类;看题时要先判断题型;to what extent do you agree or disagree 属于观点类

3

复习抓手:shortage:短缺、缺乏;severe:严重的;consequence:后果;a series of:一系列,不等于 severe

4

老师示范 / 修改方向:interested parties 可以指 involved in、affected by 或 hopes to make money 的人、组织或群体;stakeholder 更偏 business 商业语境。

继续巩固 to what extent do you agree or disagree 观点类题型,先练熟一个模板,再过渡到 discuss both views 讨论类。

Some people believe that it is impossible to help all people in the world, so governments should only focus on people in their own countries. I partly agree with this view. It is true that no government can help every person in the world, and governments should take care of their own citizens first. However, this does not mean that they should ignore people in other countries completely.

On the one hand, it is unrealistic for one government to help all people around the world. The first reason is that the world population is too large. A single government may not even know who needs help, especially in areas where population records are incomplete. Even if it could find these people, it would still be difficult to understand every person's problems. More importantly, every government has limited resources, including money, time, workers and energy. Therefore, it cannot solve unlimited problems in every part of the world.

Also, international help may not always reach the people who really need it. In some countries, aid can be taken away by corrupt officials or local armed groups before it reaches poor people. As a result, although a government has already offered help, the support may not truly improve ordinary people's lives. This shows why helping all people in the world is much more difficult than it first appears.

At the same time, governments should pay close attention to their own citizens. Helping people in their own countries can support economic growth, reduce crime, keep society stable and increase tax income. It is also more practical, because governments usually understand their own citizens better and can reach them more directly.

However, governments should not only focus on their own people. Some foreign countries are interested parties, because they may have trade, political or security connections with the government. If these countries become unstable, the problem may also affect the home country. In addition, from the perspective of humanity, governments should sometimes help people who are suffering from war, poverty, drought, famine, natural disasters or serious diseases. For these reasons, governments should put their own people first, but they should not completely ignore people in other countries.
