Yes, of course. Helping others makes me very happy. For example, I am good at geography, so sometimes I help my classmates with their geography problems.

I usually help my parents with housework. For example, I help them tidy up the apartment, wash the clothes and wash the dishes after meals.

Do you prefer helping your friends or your family members?

I prefer helping my friends because I spend most of my time with my friends at school. It is easy for me to notice their problems and help them.

What kind of help do students often need?

Students often need help with homework problems and difficult knowledge. Sometimes they also need help when they are studying or taking classes.

Do you have many close friends?

No, I don't. I do not have enough energy to maintain too many relationships. It takes time and effort, so I think one or two close friends is quite enough.

Do your friends help you with study?

Most of the time, we do not talk about our studies. But whenever I have questions and ask them, they will try to give me an answer.

What kind of friends do you think is reliable?

I think reliable people are usually on time. However, it can be hard to be friends with them because they can be stressful sometimes.

Do you prefer asking friends or teachers for help when you have problems with your studies?

I prefer asking my friends for help because it is more convenient. I can talk to my friends anytime, but I cannot always do that with teachers.

Describe a time when someone helped you.

I would like to describe a time when my geography teacher, Mr. Li, helped me after a geography class. After the last geography class, I had some geography problems, so I asked Mr. Li for help. The problem was about the difference between the population in rural areas and the population in urban areas. I did not understand the numbers and some parts of the article. Mr. Li found a geography article online. It had the latest data from Beijing, including the rural population and the urban population. However, the article was not very well written, so there were many things I could not understand. It was missing some explanations, and there was also some misleading information. Mr. Li explained the article clearly. He filled all the gaps for me and gave me the correct data and the right information. At the end of it, I understood the concept very clearly. In the next class, I did a class presentation on the same topic and got a really good score. I could not have figured out all of this by myself, so I believe that when we have problems, we should go to our teachers for help.

Why do people help others?

There are two main reasons. Firstly, helping others can make people happy because they can gain a sense of achievement when they help someone solve a problem. Secondly, helping others is good for relationships. People can build trust and sometimes form a long-term friendship after that.

Do you think schools should encourage students to help their classmates?

Yes, I think schools should encourage students to help their classmates. Many problems students have are small problems, such as homework problems and small arguments between students. These problems can often be solved between students. Also, it saves teachers' time, so teachers can pay more attention to teaching.

Is it better to help people directly or donate money?

I think it depends on the ability of the donor or volunteer. If you do not have too much money, you can become a volunteer and help people directly. However, if the people you want to help are far away, or if there is a natural disaster like an earthquake, it may not be safe for you to go there. In that case, donating money is a better choice.

Do people help strangers more or less now than before?

I think people help strangers more now than before. The Internet has developed very fast, and it connects people around the world. Many people can help others online. They do not need to know each other, and distance is not such a big problem anymore.

Does helping others benefit the helpers too?

Absolutely. Helping others can benefit the helpers too. Firstly, helpers can gain a sense of achievement, and this can keep them happy. Secondly, helping others can help people form new relationships and make new friends.

What kind of help do elderly people need most?

In my opinion, elderly people need company most. Nowadays, medical science and health care are well developed, so elderly people can get this kind of help from hospitals. However, many elderly people are lonely because their children have to work and cannot spend much time with them. So I think the most important help they need is companionship.
