IELTS Writing Task 1 table report 按课堂已讲方向整理的课后复习改进版
The table compares large-scale commercial vessels and small-scale vessels in respect of several indicators, including crew size, annual catch, annual cost per capita and fuel consumption.
Overall, large-scale vessels tend to be more profitable than small-scale vessels, as they appear to generate higher revenue while remaining more cost-efficient in terms of labor-related expenses.
In terms of income-related indicators, large-scale commercial vessels generate higher revenue. This can be seen from their larger annual catch for human consumption, at 29 million tons, compared to 24 million tons for small-scale vessels. More importantly, only large-scale commercial vessels provide annual catch for industrial processing, which further supports their stronger income potential.
Turning to costs, the fishing industry expenses mainly consist of labor and fuel. Despite the higher annual costs per capita offered by large-scale vessels, they employ much fewer crew than small-scale vessels, with the gap in crew numbers reaching over eighty times. As for fuel cost, despite higher oil consumption of large-scale vessels, the difference is only about ten times, much less than that of labor costs. Thus, large-scale fishing is still more cost-efficient.
