Our task was to research the market, design a product and present the whole idea to the class within two weeks. I worked with three classmates. One member was very creative, another was good with numbers and data analysis, and the third person was quiet at the beginning. We faced several problems. The biggest one was a disagreement about the product idea. The creative member wanted something innovative but complicated, while the data person preferred something simple and profitable. Another problem was unequal participation, because the quiet member said very little in the first few meetings. At first, I felt frustrated, but later I learned that we should bring quiet members into the discussion by asking direct but gentle questions. This experience taught me how to handle conflict and cooperate with different people.
