While I concede that information can now be accessed online more conveniently than before, I contend that this does not mean that libraries are no longer necessary.;The question of whether mobile phones should be banned in public places such as libraries, shops and public transport remains highly contested. While I concede that mobile phones may cause some nuisance in these public venues, I contend that this does not mean a blanket ban is necessary.

  • 复习随堂语料,尤其是 access information、it is advisable for someone to do something、a blanket ban、harmful effects 等表达。

学生原始输出:access;have access to this

老师示范 / 修改方向:have access to something / access something;access information online

老师处理:老师提示模板第一句是 the question of whether... remains highly contested,并要求学生把图书馆题改成模板句。

学生原始输出:the question of什么 remain highly contested;是否需要图书馆;library is still necessary

The question of whether libraries are still necessary when information can be easily accessed online remains highly contested.

复习抓手:观点类开头可以用 the question of whether... remains highly contested;whether 后面要放真正有争议的内容;题干前半句如果是条件,要用 when 衔接

4

学生原始输出:the information online can be;information online can be;information can be可以easily;can be e easyly accessed online

老师示范 / 修改方向:information can be easily accessed online;online 修饰 access,不是修饰 information

复习抓手:主动句 students can access information online 可改为 information can be accessed online;被动语态可以避免主语范围太窄;online(在线地)修饰获取方式

5

纠正让步句 while I concede that 的理解

老师处理:老师拆解模板:while I concede that 写同意的前提部分;I contend that 写不同意的结论部分。

I agree I concede that while I concede that library libraries are still necessary。while i can see that是我让步的部分

While I concede that information can be easily accessed online, I contend that this does not mean that libraries are no longer necessary.

学生原始输出:the question of whether printed books magazines or newspaper still needed; When Information from computers;can be easily; Can be accessed for

The question of whether printed books, magazines or newspapers are still needed when information can be accessed from computers and other electronic devices remains highly contested.

课堂推进:老师集中纠正 need 的搭配,帮助蕾蕾同学避免 are no need to use 这样的错误表达。

学生原始输出:printed books magazines or newspapers are no need to use today

Somebody needs something;Something is needed; There is no need for something;Something is necessary;printed books, magazines or newspapers are no longer needed.

复习抓手:不能说 something are no need to use;可以说 something is needed(某物被需要);可以说 there is no need for something(没有必要有某物);necessary(必要的)可以替换 needed

9

课堂推进:老师带蕾蕾同学分析 mobile phones should be banned in public places 这类题,指出 ban(禁止)属于极端表达。

While I concede that mobile phones may cause problems in public places, I contend that this does not mean that they should be banned.

复习抓手:ban(禁止)是极端词;no longer(不再)也常带极端意味;可以承认有问题,但反对 blanket ban(一刀切禁止)

10

老师处理:老师建议第一句完整写 libraries, shops and public transport,后文用 these public places 或 they 替代。

学生原始输出:in publicplaces;they should they should be banned

老师示范 / 修改方向:第一次完整写 public places such as libraries, shops and public transport;后面用 these public places / they。

老师处理:老师提供 advisable、prohibit、a blanket ban、public venues、nuisance、harmful effects 等表达。

学生原始输出:mobile phones make some problems;cause some problems;side effect

It is advisable for the government to ban mobile phone use in all these places;a blanket ban;public venues;may cause some nuisance;exert harmful effects

复习抓手:should 可换成 it is advisable for someone to do something(某人做某事是可取的);ban 可换成 prohibit(禁止)或 a blanket ban(一刀切禁止);public places 可换成 public venues(公共场所);problem 可根据语境换成 nuisance(困扰)或 harmful effects(负面影响)

12

老师示范 / 修改方向:it is advisable for someone to do something = should 的替换表达;写中文翻译帮助复习。

While I concede that communication technology has disadvantages, I do not believe that these disadvantages outweigh its advantages.

B outweighs A

14

In big cities, traffic can be heavy in central areas during weekday rush hours.

老师处理:老师引导学生找出 young people / people、reading and writing skills / social life、keep in touch 等题干差别。

复习抓手:相似科技题也要逐词比较;young people(年轻人)和 people(人们)范围不同;reading and writing skills(读写能力)和 social life(社交生活)不是同一话题

17

蕾蕾同学练习了 the question of whether... remains highly contested 这个开头结构。

词汇上重点复习了 access(获取、接触)、prohibit(禁止)、a blanket ban(一刀切禁止)、advisable(可取的)等表达。

Libraries and online information

The question of whether libraries are still necessary when information can be easily accessed online remains highly contested. While I concede that information can now be accessed online more conveniently than before, I contend that this does not mean that libraries are no longer necessary.

Printed books, magazines and newspapers

The question of whether printed books, magazines and newspapers are still needed when information can be accessed from computers and other electronic devices remains highly contested. While I concede that more and more people can now access information from these devices, I do not believe that this means printed materials are no longer needed.

Mobile phones in public places

The question of whether mobile phones should be banned in public places such as libraries, shops and public transport remains highly contested. While I concede that mobile phones may cause some nuisance in these public venues, I contend that this does not mean a blanket ban is necessary.

Communication technology

The question of whether the disadvantages of communication technology outweigh its advantages remains highly contested. While I concede that smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices may have some harmful effects, I do not believe that their disadvantages necessarily outweigh their advantages.

information online can be accessed
while I concede that libraries are still necessary
printed books magazines or newspapers are no need to use today
mobile phones make some problems
